Summer Nucleus Colony
Nuc pickup will be in Solon, OH. These colonies cannot be shipped. Apiary is inspected and approved annually by Ohio State, bees minimally treated with brood breaks and oxalic vapor as needed to keep mites in check.
Nucs include:
5 frames (a mix of wood and plastic possible)
2+ full frames of brood equivalent
Newly mated and laying queens from our yards this year (Carniolan heritage, but these are mutt survivors dating back to 2013)
All bees and queens are from my overwintered survivor colonies; no bees or queens are brought in to build these nucs
1+ frames equivalent honey
Bees covering all frames, I shake in extra
Remaining frame(s) include drawn comb
1 plastic Jester Nuc box that you keep
